The CIF Sac-Joaquin Section, at its January 2002 Board of Managers meeting, approved Foundation Games for both volleyball and basketball in an effort to raise money for the scholarship program and Women in Sports Conference.
Please note that only foundation games may be played on the foundation date.
No other competition at any level is permitted.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING FOUNDATION GAMES

DATES
Volleyball Foundation Games MUST BE PLAYED ON September 3, 2013.
Basketball Foundation Games MUST BE PLAYED ON December 2, 2013.
VARSITY LEVEL COMPETITION ONLY
No lower level games may be played.
GAME TIMES
Volleyball--7:00 p.m.
Basketball--7:00 p.m. for single game; 6:00 & 8:00 p.m. for doubleheader
CONTRACT
Schools must agree to a two-year contract. The contract form can be found by clicking
on the link above. The contract must be signed by both principals and returned to the
Section office for final approval.
MEMBER SCHOOLS ONLY
Both participants must be Sac-Joaquin Section members. Out-of-Section play is not allowed.
TICKET PRICES
Adults--$5.00
Students--$3.00
CIF playoff and press passes are to be honored.
CONTACTS/POWER RATINGS
Games DO NOT COUNT toward the 27-contact limit and ARE NOT CALCULATED in the
school's power rating.
OFFICIALS
The Sac-Joaquin Section office is responsible for securing officials (officials have agreed
to waive their fees for these games).
GATE RECEIPTS
Half of the gate receipts (before expenses) are to be forwarded to the Section office.
